HRP Auto Parts is a trusted name in the automotive parts industry, serving our community with high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our team and contribute to our growing operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, using accounting software.
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements to ensure financial accuracy.
• Processing payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations.
• Generating financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, to support management decision-making.
• Assisting with tax preparation and ensuring timely submission of GST/HST filings.
Qualifications
Education
• College diploma or equivalent or Certificate in Financial Accounting and/or relevant experience
Experience
• Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Skills
• Professional and collegial when working with staff, clients, and patients
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective problem-solver with a proactive mindset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in: accounting software; payroll systems; Excel; ledgers; creating and analyzing spreadsheets
